Go where you will be recognized for your true worth...

The world changes hearts. Money changes men, and men change for money. But what about our values, our desires, our ambitions, our future?

Go where you will be recognized for your true worth...

Human value. A domain we all think we understand, but in reality, we are far from grasping its foundations and what truly stems from it. What if the image we've held until now of what matters is merely the first step on the path to human brotherhood? What does it mean to be human, and what is its value?

From the most ordinary guy to the most popular in the class, we all have a place on the chessboard. It's like in the number system: even if it seems worthless in the eyes of others, zero is still very much a part of it. Very often, the one we despised has the power to propel others to such heights that they become untouchable. That same zero we belittled when he was first introduced has become the strong, central point of the thousand we now revere so much.

To be honest, what we call value is nothing more than the very meaning of existence. We are born to live, and we live to accomplish great things. But unfortunately, we allow ourselves to be guided by choices that lack creativity and originality. Because of our fear of failure, we always end up taking the safest path towards a profitable future instead of daring to venture into an unknown world of our own, where success could elevate us above all else. To succeed in life, we must, in every endeavor, demonstrate courage, intelligence, and unwavering skill in order to seize the opportunities that present to us.

For this chapter, I don't want to use fancy words. For once, I want to speak plainly and finally clarify a few things:

- If people are constantly walking all over you, it might be your own behavior that's to blame.

- If, in order to move forward, you always hesitate and watch others take the same path you've decided to follow, perhaps it's time to find your own unique identity.

- If you want to be on the front page of your life, start by picking up a pen and notebook and writing your own story.

- And finally, if you want others to recognize your true worth, start by showing them who you really are, not the person you think they want to see.

Know that you have enormous potential and that your true value doesn't depend on the number of people who follow you. If you think that being important requires having a lot of followers, ask yourself this question: why can money never buy true happiness? Value isn't something you can buy; it's created with a clear vision and objective. So, if you too are trying to make your way through all these minefields, first ask yourself if your ambition will lead you to the summit you've so desired.

The Heartbeat of the Economy: Understanding the Simple Transaction

The economy works like a simple machine. Many people find economics complex, and there is often little agreement on how it works. This can make the subject feel intimidating or inaccessible. The reality, however, is that the entire economic system is built from "a lot of simple transactions that are repeated over and over again a zillion times."

Focusing: When Words Alone Aren't Enough

Focusing, developed by Eugene Gendlin, is an embodied practice of self-reflection that helps meaning emerge from the body rather than the thinking mind. At its core is the felt sense—the vague, bodily knowing that exists before clear thoughts or emotions. By staying with this “murky edge” in a nonjudgmental way, we allow clarity to form naturally instead of forcing answers. Unlike meditation or cognitive insight, Focusing invites us to listen to the whole of our experience—mind, body, and intuition together. As we slow down and attend to what the body is signaling, what once felt stuck can begin to shift. This process often leads to a felt shift: a subtle release that opens new perspectives and ways of moving forward. Focusing reminds us that our bodies often know long before we can explain—and that depth, clarity, and change emerge when we are willing to listen.
